Burke AC Phoenix is a new rising U9 team who will be playing in the Washington Girls Area Soccer (WAGS) League for the Fall 2008 season will be holding open tryouts for girls born 1 August 1999 or younger throughout the summer. We are looking for players who are interested in developing their soccer skills and playing in a fun and more competitive environment, yet one that will continue to nurture their love of soccer. The team will be coached by Randy Jouben who holds a USSF D licenses and the NSCAA Regional Goalkeeper Diploma. The team will provide players with a training environment that is focused on individual and team development. The Burke AC Revolution rising U10 girls are looking for 1 to 2 players to join the team. Our team focuses heavily on individual skills and works on team concepts. The BAC Mustangs White will be holding tryouts for the Fall ’08/Spring ’09 season. We are a rising U10 Boys team who will participate in NCSL league play and several tournaments throughout the year. Players born on or after 8/1/98 are eligible. We are looking for a player who shares the DESIRE to play to the best of their ability. We offer a year-round training program that focuses on individual and team development while emphasizing teamwork, foot skills, character and love for the game. The BAC Storm (rising U14 Girls) coaching staff is looking for two or three players to join the team for the Fall 2008 and Spring 2009 season. We provide instruction enabling each player to be the best she can be while helping our team to succeed. Our Head Coach is Dave Kerr, a semi-professional player from Northern Ireland with a Union of European Football Association (UEFA) B license and more than 10 years experience coaching youth players and building youth teams. Our Parent Assistant Coach, Ed Apgar, was a varsity player for the United States Military Academy. Ed holds a United States Soccer Federation (USSF) National C License and a National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) National Diploma, and has been a volunteer coach for 7 years. The Storm plays one pre-season tournament each season, and plays indoor soccer during the winter. The Storm also has informal training sessions at Patriot Park during the summer and winter off season periods. During the summer, the Storm will train Wednesdays from 4:30 to 6:00 PM at Patriot Park, the new turf field located next to the Mott Community Center at the intersection of Braddock Road and the Fairfax County Parkway. Burke ODSL rising U15 Girls travel team is looking for a few good players.
Burke Athletic Club team Inferno, a U15 girl’s team has openings for motivated and talented players to complete our team roster for the 2008-2009 season. This is an ideal opportunity for players looking to advance their soccer development and level of competitive play. We practice hard, we play hard and we still have lots of fun. The team is coached by Tim Mott and Chris Deegan who combined have over 15 years of coaching experience. Tryouts are June 26 from 5:30-7:30pm at Monticello park. Monticello Park is located at the corner of Burke Rd and Guinea Rd about 1/2 mile south of Twin brook Shopping Center.
