General COVID Guidelines (updated 2/10/22)

General COVID Guidelines:

BAC safety guidelines were created following guidance from the CDC, the Virginia Department of Health, and the Fairfax County Health Department.  Note that these guidelines are subject to change and will be updated based on new recommendations as they are released by national and local health officials.

For any positive COVID result, regardless of vaccination status, isolate for 5 days.

On day 5, if you have not had a fever for at least 24 hours (without fever reducing medicine), other symptoms are resolving or are symptomatic, you may return to play pending a negative rapid test administered on or after Day 5 and must wear a mask for an additional five days.

For any close contact exposure to COVID:

  • Fully vaccinated individuals can participate, but they must wear a mask in close contact with others (carpooling, sidelines, etc), maintain social distance (avoid sitting on the bench, participating in group huddles, etc) and test on or after Day 5 of exposure with a rapid or PCR test.
  • For non vaccinated individuals, individuals who haven’t completed the full vaccination series or have not received the booster dose, they cannot participate for 5 days. On or after day 5, they can return to play with a negative COVID test (rapid or PCR) and will continue to wear a mask for an additional five days.

As always, please communicate with BAC and your coach regarding any COVID positive result or exposure.
