After a long winter break, soccer is up and running again. The first week of practices and age group skills kicked off well. The Play – Practice – Play format went well. As soon as your children arrive, we are getting them into small sided games. The games get the blood flowing. Coach led guided discovery objectives get the mind working. Both get our players to transition from school, chores, and homework to playing Soccer. After some skills exercises, we are back into games to build repetition and provide chances to implement what is learned. It was a good week with introductions, basic skills, and plenty of fun. We had some kinks in process that we will iron out.
A note for SFL Age Group Skills. U13 and U14 meet every Tuesday at 1700-1830. U15/16 meet at 1830. We alternate functional objectives each week. This past week was possession into attack, next week will be defending oriented and so on.
All the lesson plans are posted on the BAC website. Age Group Skills.
